DAVID WILLS INDUCTED INTO HALL OF FAME

Royston, Ga. — Tugalo Records, Inc. proudly announces that recording artist David Wills will be inducted into the North American Country Music Association International (NACMAI) Hall of Fame during the 2026 induction ceremony on Saturday, March 28, at the Country Tonite Theater.

The honor recognizes Wills’ enduring contributions to country music and marks a major milestone for both the artist and Tugalo Records, Inc., which signed Wills to a recording agreement in 2022. Since joining the Royston-based label, Wills has continued to expand his legacy, culminating in the November 2025 release of his third Tugalo Records album, “Way Too Much Fun!”

David Wills is scheduled to take center stage and perform three of his songs, "There's A Song On The Jukebox," the song he co-wrote with Blake Mevis, "If You're Thinking You Want A Stranger (There's One Coming Home)," a big hit that was recorded by the "King of Country Music" George Strait, and "Wild Horses," that was recorded by country superstar Garth Brooks. Brooks recorded the song on his "No Fences" album that was released in August of 1990. Ten years later, Brooks released it as a single in November 2000. The rodeo tune made it to the number seven spot on the country chart and sold more than 26 million RIAA-certified copies.

“I would like to thank the North American Country Music Association for such a distinguished recognition. To be considered is an honor, but to be selected for induction into the Hall of Fame is a distinction I will cherish forever!," said the legendary songwriter David Wills.

The NACMAI Hall of Fame ceremony is widely regarded as one of country music’s most respected celebrations, honoring artists whose careers have demonstrated excellence, longevity, and influence across generations. Wills’ induction places him among an elite group of

performers who have helped shape the sound and spirit of the genre.

For Tugalo Records, the recognition is also a point of pride for its hometown. “Royston, Georgia should be proud of what we are doing around the country with TRI, which proudly calls Royston home,” Fricks added.

Doors for the March 28 event will open at 5:00 p.m., with the induction ceremony beginning at 7:00 p.m. Fans from across the nation are expected to attend what promises to be an unforgettable evening celebrating both a legendary artist and the enduring power of country music.
